The MOOCLaughlin Group

March 3, 2014 By DegreeofFreedom in Filed Under: Degree of Freedom Project

When it becomes made available, I’m planning to post footage of talks and presentations I’ve participated in, starting with the video below of a discussion that took place a couple of weekends ago during MIT’s 2014 Tech Conference.

This was a panel discussion entitled “Disrupting Education,” although the disruption we all focused on begins with M and ends in OOC.

Panelists included:

Seth Reynolds, the moderator, a Partner at the Parthenon Group

Dr. Sanjay Sarma, MIT’s Director of Digital Learning (a Degree of Freedom interview with Sanjay can be found here)

J. Philipp Schmidt, Director’s Fellow at the MIT Media Lab and co-founder of the very cool Peer-to-Peer University

Jeff Young, editor at the Chronicle of Higher Education, author of the recent Chronicle e-book Beyond the MOOC Hype, and (this year) a Nieman and Berkman Fellow at Harvard University (a Degree of Freedom interview with Jeff can be found here).

Nick Ducoff, Vice President of Content at Boundless Learning

and yours truly… Enjoy!

Enjoy
