First, a couple of announcements.
I’ll be appearing as a guest on the David Pakman show, which I believe will be released today. You can go here to check out David’s site, and I highly recommend you visit a YouTube channel he created for teaching critical-thinking skills (a man after my own heart).
Also, if you’re interested in a slightly academic discussion, here’s something I wrote for the British Educational Research Association blog on the potential conflict between critical thinking instruction and assessment.
With that out of the way, I’d like to introduce readers to a new section of Degree of Freedom dedicated to critical thinking high-leverage teaching practices. These are designed to put into practice the ideas and techniques mentioned in my new book, ideas and techniques applicable to K-12, higher education and professional learning.
I try to sum up the concept in this flashy infographic. Click on it to learn more.
